2025 is starting off strong as we present Ted Poor and Josh Johnson on 2/1 at Bad Bar. This set will explore expansive sounds and deep grooves as this duo taps into their masterful musicality and technical wizardry. It’s going to be mostly standing room as this music is going to have you moving.

Ted Poor’s adventurous and soulful playing has been paired with many of today’s most vital artists, including Paul Simon, Bill Frisell, Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Andrew Bird, and many more. Ted has been very generous with his time and input for The Goodbye Look since we first connected back in 2023, and we’re stoked to finally be kicking off what we hope to be the first of many collaborations with him.

Josh Johnson is a saxophonist, composer, and Grammy Award-winning producer who’s a frequent collaborator of another suite of contemporary jazz greats including Jeff Parker, Makaya McCraven, Marquis Hill, Mercereau, and Keifer. You can also hear his playing on countless pop hits from Harry Styles, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Louis Cole, Miley Cyrus, and more.

We continue to be humbled and floored by the astonishing caliber of musicians who allow us to present their music here in Seattle, and we couldn’t be more excited to keep the Seattle hang going with all of you on 2/1.
